Original AN/PEQ II is a laser sight and infrared designator used in U.S. Army units. Original manufacturer, Insight, equipped it with RIS mount. AN/PEQ II is a part of SOPMOD M4 rifle accesories system.
In airsoft , AN/PEQ is commonly used for reconstruction, as a visual decoration or as a battery compartment, if it is impossible to store the battery inside replica. VFC product has a set of stickers to be put on the outer case. Inside the case, the maximum battery that can be installed is Twins-type 9,6V or special LiPo packet. Unique feature of this case is the dimensions accordance compared to original one - other copies are much wider due to the need for larger batteries storage capacity.
